6/21
Well, I'm here in Missouri. I didn't make my 20 pound goal but I came close. I had lost 12 before I left on the 14th and I haven't been able to really get a good idea of my weight since. The scale that they have has such tiny marks I can't even see them. I'm not sure that I have lost any more but I know that I haven't gained. I've only eaten out once and that was a grilled chicked salad from McDonalds the day I got here. Amazingly, I'm really not even tempted. I just think about how far I've come and eating something "bad" doesn't even seem worth it. Exercise on the other had has been difficult. I did my strength training on Tuesday and Thursday but cardio has been hard to do. I thought I could walk in the morning or something but it is so hot and humid it is amazing! Brittany and I took the baby for a walk on Tuesday and Friday morning I took a 2 mile walk, uphill the first half!

I leave in one week! Not sure if I'm going to make that 20 pound goal, (can I lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, one of the weeks being in Missouri on "vacation?) but I'm going to give it a good try. I have actually amazed myself with my eating. I have been very disciplined about what, how much and when I eat. It feels so good to get on the Wii Fit every morning and see the numbers go down! (now if it would quit saying "that's obese" every morning I would be really happy...someday...). Worked out 6 day this week, pretty good!

I am on the countdown until I leave to go to Missouri and Georgia. I had a goal to try to lose 20 lbs. before getting to Georgia to see my sweet hubby. So far, pretty good. I have lost 6 so far and have 4 weeks to go. I know that it is a pretty big goal but I'm still going to work on it. I have been really good eating, even with Memorial Day. So, so on the working out. Been battling a bladder infection (tmi) for the past week and really don't feel much like working out but I am trying.

I guess things are going pretty well. I've lost a couple of pounds, been eating pretty well, worked out four days this week. I'm still having a hard time working in strength training. Doing cardio first thing in the morning is working but I don't have time to get my strength training in then. Maybe when school gets out and I have more time in the morning. It's definately a work in progress!

Well, it's been about a week 1/2 since my last post. Kelly came home and we spent a lot of time running around, not really eating great. I did get pretty much all my workouts in. Did cardio all but today. I've been feeling pretty depressed yesterday and today since he left. I really want to lose some weight before I go to Georgia to see him in June. I just feel frustrated as to how to accomplish it!

4/28
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Ate pretty well, (except for those darn crackers & butter, arg). 20 min on the elliptical, 30 min on the wii fit. Still feeling sort of hopeless about all of it but I'm trying to be postive and NOT fear! I can do this!!

Getting Started
Ok, so here I go with this new blog. I wanted a place to keep track of what I'm eating, exercise I'm doing and what I'm thinking about.
It seems that weight has always been an issue in my life. I remember when I was about 10 going with my mom to a weight loss group. When I look back, I wasn't overweight by any means, I seemed to be pudgy one year and then grow and be thinner the next, back and forth through grade school. Then came puberty and everything seemed to change. During the summer between grade school and middle school I gained about 30 pounds and continued for the next couple of years until I had gained about 60. I then lost about 25 which I maintained through all of high school. Looking back, I looked pretty good. Then I got married, we moved away from my family, I got pregnant and before I knew it I had ballooned up. Over the years I have lost as much as 50 pounds only to gain it all back. Fortunately, (if there is any positive) when I gained it back I never gained back past my starting point. So, about a year and a half ago I decided to start exercising. Not concentrating on food, just exercise. In that time I have lost maybe 3 to 4 pounds and two sizes. I'm happy to have gotten smaller but come on, 3 or 4 pounds in a year and a half?! So, now that my husband is leaving for a year I am going to give it a better try. Now if my kids would stop sabotaging me by buying me Blizzards.....
