Well, we made it through the first week of school. This week I gained 1.2 lbs. Monday I had a physical with my doctor and all my blood work came back in the normal ranges. One thing though...when I had my cholesterol done last time (in 2007) it was in the 150s and I was exercising pretty much 5-6 days a week. Now it's in the 190s (which is still good and my ratio of LDL to HDL is good). So, the doctor said that obviously exercise plays a big role in my levels and I probably should get back to it. I've got to somehow get past this mental block I seem to have. I think it's because I've exercised for the past 3+ years very regularly and have only lost 20 lbs or so and it's extremely frustrating! I don't know what to do and I think it has me really stuck right now. So, moving on...

Well, now today is my daughter's 18th birthday. It's a little crazy with our bday's a week apart! This week despite leftover birthday cake (from mine) and working out one day I only gained .6 lb. It's been a crazy week. My mom and I took my three and my sister's two to the beach on Tuesday because none of them had to start school til Wednesday. Then getting back into the school frame of mind, going to bed earlier, getting up earlier etc is challenging. So, we'll see how next week goes!

So, it's my birthday today...46. It's kind of wierd to think that I'm now closer to the big 5 oh than to 40! This week was busy with getting the last minute stuff wrapped up for school starting on this Wednesday. I didn't work out this week but I did try to better manage my eating. I lost 1.4 lbs this week which was a nice b-day gift to myself! Since it is my b-day I decided that it's a good time to start fresh with the working out and eating. I would really like to get a significant amount of wieght off this next year and get in better shape. Here's to hoping year 46 is the best so far!!
