8/2/09

Another week, and now a new month! The summer is flying by so quickly it's hard to believe the kids will be back in school in a month. This has been a pretty good week. My total loss now is 17 pounds. I haven't been working out this past week. Lazy and the weather has been horrible. 106 two days in a row! Ate pretty good this week, well sort of. Cookies, a small blizzard, corn dogs and tater tots for dinner, brownies, yikes.
Next week back to working out and trying to stick with fudge bars for dessert!

7/26

I'm going to try to post once a week on Sunday to make it easier to track everything. This week has been pretty good. We went camping Monday thru Thursday. Did ok, ate way too many potato chips. I never buy them but couldn't stop eating them when presented with them. Partly I think it's PMS. I always crave salt at that time. Swam one day but other than that I haven't worked out since Friday 7/17! Going to get back into it tomorrow. Lost another couple of pounds. 15 total now. Would like to lose another 5 this month but I'm quickly running out of month! I'm just going to do the best that I can. 15 pounds is huge for me without being on a "diet" of some sort. I've never been able to lose anything on my own so I'm kind of proud of that!

7/18

This week has been pretty good. I worked out almost every day. Have been eating pretty good despite Turkey Rama (elephant ears!) and eating out twice yesterday. My bff is here visiting and we went to Panda X-press for lunch, then I picked the girls up from my sister's and took them to McD's on the way home. I did have lots of veggies at Panda but also had to have the orange chicken! At McD's I had their yummy grilled chicken bacon ranch salad and came home and put my own lower calorie dressing on it. According to the Wii I am down another .5 lb. Not as much as I would like but down is better than up!

7/9

Well, I had hoped to be down more by this time but I have lost all but 1/2 pound that I gained on vacation. I'm trying not to get down on myself about it. I took the girls to McD's the other day and instead of being good and getting their yummy chicken salad I gave into temptation and got the Big Mac meal. Not too proud of that! I planned to have a salad for dinner tonight but Kelsey made a yummy breakfast pizza for dinner and I caved. Tomorrow will be the battle to fight the urge to get an elephant ear at Turkey Rama...we'll see what happens. I have worked out three days this week so I'm pretty happy about that.

7/1

Well, back from vacation and finally got myself on the Wii to do the body test. Gained 3.3 pounds since leaving 2 1/2 weeks ago. Kind of disappointed but not surprised given that I only worked out three times and while in GA ate pretty much with abandon! Now it's the 1st of July and I'm trying to get my butt in gear to start working out again. I've settled back into my good eating but I'm having a mental battle about working out. My goal for this month is to lose the weight I gained and hopefully lose 10 more. We'll see...

6/21

Well, I'm here in Missouri. I didn't make my 20 pound goal but I came close. I had lost 12 before I left on the 14th and I haven't been able to really get a good idea of my weight since. The scale that they have has such tiny marks I can't even see them. I'm not sure that I have lost any more but I know that I haven't gained. I've only eaten out once and that was a grilled chicked salad from McDonalds the day I got here. Amazingly, I'm really not even tempted. I just think about how far I've come and eating something "bad" doesn't even seem worth it. Exercise on the other had has been difficult. I did my strength training on Tuesday and Thursday but cardio has been hard to do. I thought I could walk in the morning or something but it is so hot and humid it is amazing! Brittany and I took the baby for a walk on Tuesday and Friday morning I took a 2 mile walk, uphill the first half!

6/7

I leave in one week! Not sure if I'm going to make that 20 pound goal, (can I lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, one of the weeks being in Missouri on "vacation?) but I'm going to give it a good try. I have actually amazed myself with my eating. I have been very disciplined about what, how much and when I eat. It feels so good to get on the Wii Fit every morning and see the numbers go down! (now if it would quit saying "that's obese" every morning I would be really happy...someday...). Worked out 6 day this week, pretty good!
